OUR VISITOR REVIEWS

A favourite cosy getaway.

The Studio is such a wonderful, peaceful place to stay. A superb location for exploring the stunning coast and tin mining heritage or for just gazing out at the amazing view towards the Scilly Isles and beyond. The cleanliness, facilities, and standard are excellent and there are lots of lovely touches to the decor, novels and local guidebooks and even a Cornwall Monopoly which all add to the enjoyment. We have been visiting Cornwall for decades and this has to be our favourite place for a cosy two (or one) person getaway. We will be back!

Everything you could wish for.

We had a wonderful time at Cape Cornwall. The accommodation offers everything you could wish for – including a perfect spot to watch the golfers. Surprisingly entertaining! You can take beautiful walks along the coastal path, have a meal in the village of St. Just, and we recommend a visit to the Geevor Mining Museum if the weather turns bad. And don’t miss the sunsets – there are hardly any better places to enjoy them!

The Studio is stunning.

BB as a host was second to none. She made me feel welcome and even cared for before I’d even checked in! The thoughtful touches were very much appreciated, such as her card – so personal and kind. The studio was spotless, which was great, that’s always important to me. Her directions to get there, the advice when I arrived and her check in’s during the stay were perfect. The studio is stunning and the location even more so.

Very welcoming.

BB’s apartment is perfect for a getaway weekend. It was conveniently positioned on the end of the barn so felt more private. It has a great location. We loved the stunning view from the big picture window looking down toward Cape Cornwall. Just wonderful to watch the sea changing as the weather changed. It did not matter having some wild weather as the apartment is so comfortable and cosy. BB has designed it all so well and made it very welcoming. Would love to visit again.

Cornwall is awesomely wild.

A phenomenal studio with everything you need. Super comfy bed and lovely hot shower. Great location with loads to do; walking, swimming, photography, drawing. Lovely places to eat around and about the area, however, it’s great to just watch the waves with a cuppa and cake! This part of Cornwall is awesomely wild and has a fascinating history linked to mining and that had a huge international impact. Thank you, BB, for excellent hosting and brilliant recommendations.

Would love to stay again.

BB is a very responsive host who is prompt to deal with any issue you may have. Nearby St Just has a very good range of small shops, cafés and other amenities so no need to into Penzance for supplies. The Cape Cornwall Club which also owns the golf links you can see out of the window serves delicious food and more modest fare plus live music is available in St Just. We would love to stay in the Studio again.

Fabulous sunsets.

The studio is beautifully decorated with a seaside theme with views over Cape Cornwall itself and fabulous sunsets. It has a comfy bed and everything you could want in the way of equipment. It is full of thoughtful touches, for example, a selection of ‘seaside ‘novels and fascinating books and old photographs of the mines along the Tin Coast plus info on local walks.

Beautifully decorated.

This was the most amazing location I have ever stayed in Cornwall. Stunning sea and sunset views, easy access, cozy and beautifully decorated home with the most incredible details. BB was the most amazing and caring host… super helpful, so on top of comms. Loved this beautiful home and will def return. Thank you!

Forget the Caribbean.

‘Just say how much Jill and I enjoyed our recent visit to The Studio at Cape Cornwall.
The Cape has aways been a very special place for me and I shall always remember visiting the area many years ago when I was a senior partner in a large law firm and really needed to get away from City commuting work and stress for a few days.
Forget the Caribbean or Far East!

Most amazing location .

Make a dream come true.

Cape Cornwall did the trick for me and scoured out all the anxiety and worries on the first day. The huge sky, the power of the sea and the cliffs and rocks that endlessly repel the waves puts all matters brain wise into perspective. A mystical and soothing place that will always be there – forever. Imagine therefore, the opportunity to make a dream come true and stay at The Studio for a few nights with the Cape itself visible a few hundred yards away from all but one window.

Absolutely stunning.

Pictures and reviews won’t do this place justice. Not only is the location just absolutely stunning, but BB is an unbelievable host with an immaculate home. Come to Cornwall for the incredible hiking and scenery, stay for this studio’s prime view of seaside sunsets, and come back to be hosted again by BB—I know I sure will!

Such a caring host.

No amount of private health and well-being treatment could achieve the same result for me.
Just knowing it’s there with its thick stone walls, it’s peacefulness and the ever-changing views is good for my soul and when a top up is required we’ll be there again and again.
Thank you, sis, for being such a caring host and making us so welcome, and for the subtle Christmas vibe/

Above and beyond expectations.

We’ve just returned from a short stay at BB’s studio – we were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary on Valentines Day. The studio was spotlessly clean and matched exactly to the description, providing home from home comfort and stunning sea views. The studio has everything you need for a short break and BB certainly goes above and beyond expectations with her prompt communications and helpful guidance on making the best of your stay.

A perfect weeks holiday.

The Studio Cape Cornwall is the perfect little getaway. Small and perfectly formed but deceptively spacious. Everything you need and plenty of storage. Very clean and beautifully furnished. Lots of lovely little personal touches. Peaceful location with breathtaking views over Cape Cornwall and Priests Cove. So much to do nearby. Lots of history and beautiful unspoilt beaches. BB was the perfect host and nothing was to much trouble, a truly lovely lady. Highly recommend a stay here and I will definitely be returning.

Julie

Would recommend this to anyone.

We had a great stay at the studio! It was the perfect location, driving distance to everything we wanted to see! All the amenities you’d need were provided and the hosts kept us updated regularly with information that could be useful to us. They really cared about us having the best stay.

Chris & Freya

You won’t be disappointed.

Had a really relaxing few days at the studio, weather was typically British sunshine, rain, sea mist but didn’t care because nothing can take away from the stunning location.
The studio is exactly as described spotlessly clean and views across the cape.
BB was beyond helpful from beginning to end. We have stayed in dozens of Airbnb over the years and we would definitely rate this one as the best. Don’t just take my word for it try it yourself you won’t be disappointed.

Andy

We’ve had such a great time.

Absolutely fantastic place, beautiful surroundings and other places accessible via car, bus or even walks along the coast. Would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of booking. We’ve had such a great time we’re even considering going back one day in the future.

Lauren

BB is a wonderful host.

The apartment is bright, cosy, clean and really comfortable. BB has thought of everything. The kitchen is well designed and well equipped so is the shower room.

The living room is relaxing with a view you can’t take your eyes away from; it’s mesmerising. It is so quiet and peaceful here, no sound from neighbours.

Golf club next door great for dinner.

Little Wonder Cafe down by the beach serves hot pasties and great coffee and cake (open February to end of October).

We loved sitting out on the terrace in the evening watching the sunset with a glass of wine and watching the gulls and crows, kestrels, and starlings. No light pollution here so clear skies show all the stars, if you’re lucky you’ll catch a meteor shower and get to make a wish.

Recommend the Queens Arms pub at Botallack for lunch and The Dog and Rabbit Cafe in St. Just. Visit Botallack Head, easy walk along the top.

Honestly this is the best place we’ve stayed in Cornwall. Join National trust for free carparks.

BB was the most fantastic host!

Her instructions were very clear, she was quick at responding to messages. The Studio spotless, there was everything we needed for a fantastic stay.

The views from all the windows were so picturesque and the place felt very cosy and private. We would love to stay again.

Warm and welcoming.

The Studio was warm and welcoming with spectacular sea views.

Cape Cornwall is a great location whether you want to chill out and read those long-neglected books or enjoy walking along the SW Coastal Path.

There are endless coves to explore as well as the well-known tourist spots such as Land’s End and The Lizard.

You can take a bus to St Ives and Penzance if you want a rest from driving!

BB was really helpful with detailed instructions about the location. The key box gives flexibility for your arrival.

BB was also great in responding to any questions we had during our visit.

All in all, The Studio is a great place to stay!

A Beautiful bolthole.

Rarely do you find something that is exactly as described. A Beautiful bolthole.
It is so peaceful with superb views and the studio is perfect, clean and cosy. BB is always at the end of the phone This is a fantastic place to stay if you like remote, beautiful west Cornwall.
The photos match the studio exactly. The studio has a beautifully large window from which you can look down on Cape Cornwall below – a perfect spot from which to watch the sunset or walk down the hill to enjoy Priest’s Cove. Lots to do close by within about half an hour’s drive: St Michael’s Mount and The Minack Theatre, plus Southwest Coast Path walks right outside your door.  St Just, a mile or so up the road has a surprisingly good number of shops, pubs and cafes.
The Studio is very well equipped with tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets.

BB is always very quick to respond and proactive in giving any guidance needed.
I highly recommend and very much hope to return.  EXCELLENT
